Independent testing by me and my friend: Google Chrome totally eats your CPU.
Not only that, but it will make your CPU hot. My temperature rose from 65° to 76° Celsius within a minute’s use of Chrome. Sex or seven tabs, one with YouTube. In other words, nothing extraordinary. (I’m using a MacBook Pro 17” with 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and 4 GB of RAM.)
